Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) filed a charge sheet in the court accusing 34 people including two top terrorists absconding abroad in the murder case of Awami League leader Zahidul Islam alias Tipu. The charge sheet was submitted to the court on Sunday.

The DB officials involved in the investigation said that he was killed for two reasons: Motijheel-centric extortion and political dominance. The names of 30 people, including two top terrorists Jisan Ahmed and Zafar Ahmed alias Manik, who are absconding abroad, have been named in the murder plan.
