He was born in 1950 in Baharampur, Murshidabad district of West Bengal. After the exchange of property, father moved the family to Pabna in 1965. Since then, Sufia Khatun became a girl from distant Bengal. Bangladesh's legendary athlete.

But his foundation as a sportsman was made at Sadikhardiyad Vidyaniketan in Baharampur, Murshidabad. It was for this school that Sufia Khatun caught the attention of the whole of India in the 100 and 200 meters in the 60s. Recently Sufia Khatun's school celebrated its diamond jubilee. It starts with the January 4th marathon. Sufia Khatun was the moderator of those events. He is the most famous of the school's alumni. How, a glance at the list of achievements makes it clear. He became the fastest man in Pakistan by winning the 100m at the 1968 Pakistan Olympics in Dhaka.

In 1974 in Bangladesh, he was also the fastest man in his first national championship. From 1978 to 1982, he held this distinction five times in a row. Also won medals in 200m, long jump. The coach left the game. He also coached on this day. Apart from athletics, Bangladesh is a bright name in sports. In recognition of this, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sports Awards in 2016. He received the National Sports Award 20 years ago.
