Posting the video on their X account, the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) wrote, 'Six sixes in one over, beware!'

Andhra Pradesh's Bhamshi Krishna hit every ball of Railway spinner Damandeep Singh's over in India's domestic competition, the Col CK Naidu Trophy yesterday. The CK Naidu Trophy is India's national tournament, where four-day matches are organized for under-23 cricketers.

Bhamshi hit 6 sixes in 6 balls in one over in an innings of 110 runs off 64 balls in Kadapa. He has done this feat extensively as a batsman. Before Bhamshi, this precedent was set by Ravi Shastri, Khoba Raj Singh and Ruturaj Gaikwad. But four candidates achieved this feat by getting four appointments.

In 1985, Shastri hit 6 sixes in 6 balls in a Ranji Trophy match, Yuvraj hit it in the 2007 T20 World Cup, in 2022 Gaikwad achieved the feat in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match and Krishna joined them by hitting 6 sixes in an over at CK. Naidu Trophy.

Gaekwad, however, stands at one place above all. He hit seven sixes in one over. Bowler Shiva Singh says 'no' to his over. Gaikwad hits that ball directly outside the boundary. He set a world record with 43 runs in one over alone.

Sir Gary Sobers hit six sixes in an over for the first time in recognized cricket. In the 1968 County Championship match held in Swaziland, Caribbean legend Sobers hit every ball out of bounds off Malcolm Nash's over. Ravi Shastri's feat in Ranji Trophy is the first in first-class cricket.

There are four records of 6 sixes in 6 balls in international cricket. In the 2007 ODI World Cup, South Africa's Herschel Gibbs hit six sixes in an over off Dutch leg-spinner Dan von Bunge. Batsman Yuvraj Singh hit Stuart Broad for a six in the T20 World Cup that year.

International cricket has not seen anything like this for 14 years. In 2021, six sixes were hit twice in an over. West Indies' Kieron Pollard hit six sixes off Akila Dhananjaya in the T20I series against Sri Lanka in March that year.
