The artists of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy have dressed up in spring clothes in keeping with the beauty of nature that has awakened from the lifeless nature of winter. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy celebrated the coming of Rituraj with a colorful performance of spring dance to the rhythm of Dhaka and a procession.
Rituraj Basantak started with spring dance at Ramana Park in Dhaka on Wednesday. Vasantavaran began with a performance by 225 dancers next to the Shatayu Angan in Ramana. The colors of Ramana's life and the performance of child artistes and dancers are as one.
Housing and Public Works Minister Ram Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury was the chief guest on the occasion.
Ramana was welcomed by Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. In a short speech, the chief guest said, 'May we celebrate today's spring festival for ages. We leave the responsibility to the next generation so that our next generation can celebrate and enjoy this spring festival. Love the country at the cost of life.
Salahuddin Ahmed, secretary of the academy, gave a welcome speech on the occasion. In the president's speech, the director general of the academy said, 'This generation of ours will bring the light of culture from home to home. This Falgun is part of Bengali tradition. We are presenting Bengali culture to the world. Our Boishakh, our Phalgun, Chaitra Sankranti is Bengali language of joy, Bengali tradition of thousands of years. We will not lose it. Our generation will pass it down from generation to generation.
