Rajshahi received the highest rainfall of the season in the morning

It rained for two hours in Rajshahi on Thursday morning. 8 mm of rain was recorded from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. This is the second time that Falgune has received torrential rains.

Latifa Helen, senior weather observer of Rajshahi Meteorological Office, said that it is temporary rain. At this time, rain falls and ends quickly. But this is the highest rainfall in this season.

Meanwhile, 8 millimeters of rain has accumulated water on the roads of Rajshahi city. Water accumulated on the road in Mohanpur area of the city around 9 am. Meherchandi Dayapak area also had water on the road.

According to the sources of Rajshahi Meteorological Office, the rain started at 6:50 am today. At 8:45 the rain stopped completely. Sometimes it rains heavily, sometimes it stops, sometimes it drizzles.

After the rains, the roads and trees have been cleared of dust. The leaves of the tree are shining on it.

Moniruzzaman, a Rajshahi farmer who received the Bangabandhu National Agricultural Award, said that the rice would have been good if it had rained a little during this time. This rain will spoil the tomatoes, lettuce and potatoes of the field. But this rain is good for mangoes.

However, Additional Deputy Director (Crops) of Rajshahi Agricultural Extension Department Sharmin Sultana said that the crops were not damaged much by this rain. No crop damage information has been received from the field level so far. More details will be given later.
