Shopping is easy with cashless transactions

The 28th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair is underway at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC) in the eastern part of the capital. Around this event, many people wait throughout the year to buy essential household products or hobby products. They buy fard all year long by talking about buying from the fair.

At the end of the waiting period, everyone is now shopping at the trade fair. However, this year's fair saw a different form. Consumers are using digital media for transactions. That is, people are getting used to cashless payments.

Kamruzzaman bought his required Fard at the trade fair. Finally, he chose a blazer that was out of budget. There is no cash in the wallet. Yet he was not worried. Because, his mobile phone has the facility of digital payment. So I easily bought my favorite blazer.

Kamruzzaman said, "I keep enough money in my mobile phone. Because, it is difficult to carry around with huge amount of cash. I always do digital transactions through mobile phone not only for fairs but also for shopping. It has many advantages. Again, many times digital transactions are better. There are offers. Then I can easily enjoy those offers.

Not only Kamruzzaman, it has been seen on the ground, most of the people who come to shop at the fair are doing cashless transactions this time. Customers feel comfortable with cashless shopping in mobile digital transactions. Sayka Anjum came to buy foreign crockery from Moghbazar in the capital.

He collects these household hobby items from trade fairs every year. Sayka said, 'I mainly come here to buy household products. Since carrying money is a problem I have been doing cashless shopping since last year. Keep enough balance in mobile development. We transact from there.' He added, 'Happily, cashback is available on these cashless transactions, which gives an opportunity to buy something extra. Did not have to carry money, got some discounts! Me and my family are happy.'

As buyers are relieved from the hassle of losing money, carrying cash, retail or torn money, sellers are also happy with cashless transactions. Hatil Furniture's showroom in-charge at the trade fair said, 'Buying is going very well due to cashless transactions. Because of this they can buy everything including furniture with confidence. Our sales are also good.

Experts believe that the future of the world is moving towards a cashless or cashless transaction system, be it travel, shopping or money transactions. The Covid pandemic has further accelerated this process of going cashless. Developed countries are now more interested in cashless than paper notes. Its circulation has started in Bangladesh for several years. As part of Digital Bangladesh, purchases of household goods, utility bills, mobile recharges, restaurant bills, transport fares etc. are easily paid through mobile financial services, making life easier and more comfortable.

The development is working with the aim of increasing the spread of digital transactions in the country. Bikash Head of Corporate Communications and PR Shamsuddin Haider Dalim said about cashless shopping, 'What Bikash kept in mind from the beginning of its journey was how to use technology to make life easier. As we have seen in cashless transactions, people are becoming more confident. The more we adapt digital payments to our lifestyles, the more comfortable life will be. Simple, secure and will build customer confidence. We are working towards that goal.
