The story of the liberation war in the song of Cryptic Fate

Singer and guitarist Saqib Chowdhury's father, Doctor Delwar Rana, fought in the 1970s. Shakib's uncles, uncles also fought the liberation war. He grew up listening to battlefield stories. Inspired by the ideals of the liberation war, Shakib contributed to the album. Heavy metal band Cryptic Faith has released the album 'Noy Maas' to present the story of the Liberation War in songs. The album has 9 songs highlighting the 9 months of the Liberation War.

In an interview given to Prothom Alo last Wednesday, Shakib Chowdhury, the leader of the band, said that this is a concept album. They have depicted the period from March 25 night to Victory Day in the song.

In the rock and heavy metal genres, not many albums were released. Cryptic Fate began working on the album in 2013; All songs were planned to be released between March and December. However, the release of two songs titled 'Akaraman' and 'Bhore Atin' has been stopped. The album took more than a decade to complete.

I was able to work on the album for the first six months. I could not finish the work later. We are all jobbers; I sing as a hobby. But it is better not to finish then, the technology of today is much better than the technology of that time. The album is good.' Said Shakib Chowdhury.

In 2017, the band released another song from the album "Ratar Resh". Out of the remaining six songs 'Buddhihatya', 'Mitra', 'Vicchu', 'Mahra', 'Baidayer Gaan' and 'Kalvaishakhi' have not been released before.

'No Mass' is Cryptic Fate's fourth album. Before this, the third album Danab was released in 2006. The band has brought the album after almost a century and a half.
"Obviously we feel bad. It was out of our control. We are working people, hobbyists. So we have to accept it. Now a lot of things are under our control," Shakib said.

They didn't have their own studio before; Many things were out of control. They have prepared themselves a lot for three years. Now also bought pads, recording equipment themselves.

According to Shakib, "It was very bad till now. I can manage well now. There will be no ridiculously long breaks ahead. Now I am singing regularly.

The album's sound engineering was done by guitarist Farhan Samad, mastered by AK Ratul. The album has been released on Spotify, YouTube and other digital platforms.

The surprise of that boy is strange
Band star Suman appeared as a surprise in this band. The strange boy sang the 'farewell song'; Shakib Chowdhury is with him. Suman is also known by this name due to the song 'Adbhut Se Khuki'. Shakib could not think of anyone other than Suman for this song.

Shakib said, 'The theme of this song is that boys leave their mothers and go to war. I am talking about two types of boys in the song. A quiet boy. Another type of boy is right-handed. When I remembered the boy on the right, I remembered the strange boy. I told Suman bhai, this song goes with that strange boy. I will feel proud to sing the song. Suman Bhai sang, we are very happy. The song is very good.
