Coach said that England baseball strategy will not change

Two consecutive defeats after winning the first match. England lost to India by 434 runs in the Rajkot Test. On the fourth day of the Rajkot Test, England were bowled out for just 122 after India set a target of 556 to bat. Despite losing 3 wickets for 20 runs in the second innings, England did not change their batting style.

Playing to win quickly turns into an all-out. When England win Tests, their tactics are praised, and when they lose, they are criticized. After such a big loss in Rajkot naturally the edge of criticism is a bit higher. No matter how big the deficit, England will not change tactics, said coach Brendon McCullum.

"We've never had that kind of discussion (about changing tactics) because it means you're putting a different mindset into guys' heads. We want to make sure guys are given the freedom to make good decisions as soon as they understand the situation," McCullum said.

England's Test team coach also said, 'They have to play well against every bowler to beat India on Indian soil. It doesn't matter if they are playing one bowler less. Our strategy didn't work this time, we admit. But next time it might work.'

Jonny Bairstow is one of England's greatest 'soldiers' of baseball strategy. Bairstow out for 0 and 4 runs in Rajkot Test. He has played 6 innings and scored 102 runs in the entire series so far. Still, McCullum is not losing faith in Bairstow.
