Education Minister requested to stop religious and cultural programs by playing microphone at night during SSC

Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury has requested the concerned people not to hold religious and cultural programs by playing the microphone all night. He made a special request that it should not be done after a certain period especially during SSC and equivalent examinations.

The Education Minister said this in response to questions from journalists at a press conference organized on SSC and equivalent examinations that started today Thursday. The press conference was organized at the International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha of the capital.

In response to questions from journalists at the press conference, Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury said that not only music programs but also religious programs are being conducted through loud microphones. Sometimes the mic is played all night. Such incident during SSC exam is inhumane. Other times it's not okay to play the mic all night. Playing the mic all night, the patient, the examinee—inconvenience for all.

Education Minister said, special request to Ulama and other religious leaders, to come out of this culture. And cultural events are part of life. However, the Education Minister requested not to take the exam after the specified time.

SSC 2024 and equivalent examination has started from today. This year's SSC, Dakhil, SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) exams total 20 lakh 24 thousand 192 candidates. Compared to the last time, the number of examinees has decreased by about 48,000. Students of 29 thousand 735 educational institutions of the country will participate in this examination. This exam will be held in a total of 3 thousand 700 centers. The written exam of General Education Board and Technical Education Board will end on March 12. Besides, Madrasa Education Board's written exam will end on March 14.

Every year the minister in charge of the Ministry of Education visits the examination center. However, as per the previous announcement, the new Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury did not visit the examination center. The Education Minister felt that due to the inspection of the examination center, a kind of harassing situation, mental anguish and public suffering was created on the students. However, a press conference was organized today to talk about various issues of the exam.
