How is Voyager 15 billion miles from Earth?

NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft, 1,500 million miles from Earth, has not been sending any data for the past three months. The spacecraft cannot be controlled from Earth due to technical problems. And so the scientists of the American space research agency NASA are very worried about the future of the spacecraft that is farthest from the earth. Even if the work is going on to solve the technical problem, the question has been raised whether it will be possible to re-establish communication with the spacecraft or not.

It is known that Voyager 1 will not be able to send any data to Earth from November 14, 2023. But still receiving signals from Earth, the spacecraft continues through interstellar space beyond the edge of the solar system. In this context, Voyager project manager Suzanne Dodd said, "If we can communicate with the spacecraft again, it will be the biggest miracle." The spacecraft is traveling at ten and a half miles per second.

Voyager 1 was launched into space on September 5, 1977. In 2012, Voyager 1 began sending data beyond the boundaries of the solar system and into interstellar space. Earth's most distant spacecraft used three computers and its own flight data system to send data back to Earth. But the spacecraft is now unable to transmit any data due to a fault in the Telemetry Modulation Unit or TMU.

According to NASA, Voyager 1 has been exploring the mysteries of the solar system for more than 45 years. Meanwhile, the spacecraft discovered a thin ring around Jupiter and two new moons. Not only that, it also discovered five new moons of Saturn and a new ring called the G-Rings. The spacecraft is currently in the region beyond the heliopause in interstellar space. Due to the aging of various instruments as well as the long distance from Earth, the spacecraft's technical faults cannot be resolved. Because, after sending the signal from Earth to the spacecraft, it takes about 45 hours to know whether it is working or not.
