On this day in history: Pluto is discovered

Various incidents and accidents are happening in the world every day. Many things are invented. Many are born and die. Do we remember all the daily events? But some things are permanently embedded in people's minds, some events remain in the pages of history. Our regular program 'This Day in History' deals with such topics. Today is February 18. Let's see what big events happened in the world on this day. Translated from the book 'On This Day: A History of the World in 366 Days' by Anindya Saimum.

Pluto was the most distant planet in the solar system. Now though, Pluto is called a minor planet or dwarf planet. Pluto was stripped of its planet status in 2006 because it did not meet the new definition of a planet. On February 18, 1930, American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh first discovered the existence of Pluto.

The cow traveled 115 km. Cows are milked while in the sky. Cows had a purpose for such aerial travel. The scientists wanted to see how altitude produced reactions in cows. How does it affect milk production?
