What Rishi Sunak says in a 51 second video about mobile phone use in classrooms in England

English Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has banned mobile phones in all school classrooms. He made the announcement in a video message on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. Last Monday, the British government issued official guidelines in this regard.

According to CNBC, the reason for banning cell phones is because cell phones have a negative impact on schools. It disrupts studies. The responsibility of supervising the matter has been given to the head teachers according to the government guidelines. The guidelines ask teachers and parents to ensure that students do not bring phones to school. It is also said to keep the phone in the locker if someone brings it. School authorities should ensure that no one uses the phone during class or the ringing of the phone does not disturb the studies.

Sunak posted a 51-second video on X to explain how cell phones disrupt work. In the video, the phone rings whenever he is about to say something. About one-third of students reported how phones interfered with their studies, Sunak said. Many schools have already banned phones. As a result, the learning environment of the students has improved. New guidelines have been issued in this regard. All schools should follow these guidelines. We want to make sure all students get the education they need.

Along with the video, Rishi Sunak wrote, 'We know how distracting mobile phones are in the classroom. Today we are helping schools end this.'
