Bangladesh is one step behind in passport index

Bangladesh has fallen one step behind in the passport index (2024) of London-based consulting firm The Henley & Partners.

Bangladesh's position in the index is now 102. The position of Bangladesh was 101 in the 2023 index. Kosovo and Libya were jointly in the same position

In this year's index, North Korea is jointly with Bangladesh at the 102nd position.
According to the index, now Bangladeshi passport holders can visit 42 countries of the world without advance visa. According to the 2023 index, this number was 41

This index is created with passports of 199 countries of the world. Eritrea and Sri Lanka are ranked 101 above Bangladesh in the index. Below Bangladesh, Libya, Nepal and Palestine are ranked 103rd.


Bangladesh's neighbor India ranks 85th in the index. Indian passport holders can travel to 62 countries around the world without an advance visa.

Pakistan ranks 106th in the index. Pakistani passport holders can travel to 34 countries around the world without an advance visa.

Six countries jointly top the index. These are - France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore and Spain. Passport holders of these countries can travel to 194 countries of the world without advance visa.

Afghanistan is at the bottom of the index. The country's passport holders can travel to 28 countries around the world without an advance visa.
