Japan is relaxing the rules of cutting soldiers' hair, but why?

New recruits to the Japanese military will be allowed to have long hair. The country's Ministry of Defense has informed this information.

The country's authorities are taking steps to attract more youth to the army.

Japan faces growing security concerns over China and North Korea. In this context, the country is armed. They want to reduce this army deficit. As part of this effort, Chul came up with new announcements.

The Japanese military cut men's hair very short

According to the announcement, this rule will be relaxed from next April. Japanese soldiers will be allowed to have long hair.

According to the new rules, male soldiers can have short hair on the back and sides of the head and long hair on top.

Female soldiers may have long hair. However, while wearing the uniform, tied hair cannot fall over the shoulders. Hair shouldn't be a problem when wearing a helmet.

According to the Kyodo news agency, news of the Japanese military's loosening of hairstyle rules first surfaced last month. The matter was then discussed at a meeting of an expert group to increase the number of troops in the Japan Self Defense Forces (JSDF).

Since World War II, Japan's military has played only a defensive role. This role is consistent with the country's pacifist constitution.

In the face of massive military activity by China and North Korea, Japan is now trying to increase its military recruitment.
