Office hours in Kuwait during Ramadan are 4 hours

Kuwait has announced that the office hours of employees will be reduced to four hours during the upcoming month of Ramadan. Besides, two additional opportunities have been announced for the employees. Apart from four hours of office time, women workers will get two additional opportunities of 15 minutes each. They can leave the office 15 minutes after the start of office and 15 minutes before the end of office.

On the other hand, male workers can come 15 minutes after the start of office in the morning, but they will work for a total of 4 hours and 15 minutes, including 15 minutes after the end of office. The decision was taken after the Kuwait Civil Service Commission (CSC) completed a performance evaluation review of the financial and administrative sectors.

Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs Salah Khaled Al Saqabi said eligible employees will receive a performance bonus during the month of Ramadan, which is included in the 2023-24 fiscal year budget.

Most of the ministries, government institutions and organizations of the country have finalized the performance appraisal reports of their employees. The importance of completing these reviews before the start of the new fiscal year on April 1 is emphasized.
